PRACHT has introduced a sustainability strategy whose central building blocks include the four “R’s”, focusing on the careful use of resources and CO 2 savings.
REMADE – Production from recycled material: Luminaires consist of up to 100% recycled plastic parts – REMADE IN GERMANY. This results in high CO² savings through the reuse of old plastic as well as short delivery routes. All of that is only possible because of our high production depth.
REBUILD – Luminaires are refurbished and reintegrated into the product cycle, thus saving CO², costs and resources.
REUSE – longer use of luminaires: Easy component replacement in PRACHT products, for example, using non-glued luminaires, modular product designs or slide technologies. In this way, resources are conserved.
REGROW – Use of plastics from renewable raw materials: Luminaires are produced from renewable plastic parts that are not dependent on crude oil. By using resource-saving biopolymers with a good CO² balance and dispensing with fossil resources, REGROW luminaires offer an alternative to conventional plastics.
An impressive result of such considerations is the KATLA REMADE. It is the first industrial luminaire for damp locations made of 100% recycled material. The luminaire convinces with excellent photometric properties, like the entire PRACHT portfolio, and is price-neutral to its conventional sister products.
The KATLA ONE is the answer to the question of a future-oriented luminaire that combines efficiency, customizability and sustainability. It is made of 100% REMADE plastic and features REUSE slide technology. The luminaire becomes a personal statement via individually designable communication surfaces. Luminaire installation made imaginably easy!
This is how easy light installation is
PRACHT stands for quality, sustainability and absolute efficiency.
Efficiency in this sense also means the easy installation of our innovative luminaires in the industrial sector and e-charging stations in the commercial and private sector.
In our company-owned PRACHT Institute of Technology (PIT), we develop our lighting technology from A to Z ourselves and take special care to do without anything unnecessary. In addition, our luminaires are constantly improved in terms of handling and usability. For mounting, for instance, we offer various pendant and mounting rail solutions and variable sliding clamps made of stainless steel for most of our luminaires. The coverings are secured against falling down at the base of the luminaire, so that the installation can also be successfully done alone.
Many of the PRACHT luminaires have the possibility of front and back cable entry by using high-quality plugs, that repel dirt and water, which also can be pierced, for example, with a screwdriver.
In the case of the COMO BL spotlight, we also offer extra-long cables that can be shortened as needed. Our KATLA series features, in addition to the above-mentioned stainless steel brackets, inspection covers on the front side for convenient power connection.

Hessen Champion 2020 in the category “Innovation”
For the 20th time, the Hessian Ministry of Economics, Energy, Transport and Housing (wirtschaft.hessen.de) and the Federation of Hessian Business Associations (www.vhu.de), in cooperation with MBG of Hesse (mbg-hessen.de), honored special entrepreneurial successes as part of the “Hessen Champions” competition.
2020 PRACHT made it among many applicants and was awarded the innovation and growth prize “Hessen-Champions” for outstanding achievements in the category “Innovation”. We are proud to have been honored for the KATLA REMADE – the first industrial luminaire MADE IN GERMANY from 100% waste plastic – and to be able to officially call ourselves “Hessen-Champions 2020”. Remade in Germany – Luminaires made from recycled plastics
“Everyone said it couldn’t be done – until someone came along and just made it”. Recycling or replacing technical plastics is not possible, too costly, not profitable … PRACHT simply does it!
At the PRACHT site in Buchenau, complete luminaire series are now manufactured from recycled materials. The KATLA REMADE was the world’s first industrial luminaire made of recycled material, and PRACHT is continuing the success story with the KATLA ONE which is also made of 100% recycled plastic and can additionally be customized (laser engraving) as well as being equipped with a patented slide system for the exchangeability of driver and circuit board
Moreover, further luminaire series are already being converted to recycled material.
Now the question arises: “Does the switch to recycled materials come along with a loss of quality of the luminaires?” The answer is “No!” The new materials are just as resistant to temperature influences, acids, oils, alkalis, pressure and cleaning agents as the previous engineering plastics. Sustainability is neither collateral damage nor benefit here, but the maxim for new developments. The material innovation of KATLA REMADE is not only price-neutral, but even results in an improvement of the photometric properties.
Recycled materials are not only about the recycling of post-industrial waste plastic, but also about the recycling of post-consumer waste plastic. Here, for example, yogurt pots can be recycled to be turned into product parts.
For PRACHT, the entry into the use of recycled production material was another logical step towards an ecologically and sustainably managed family business.
