PRACHT is one of the leading international manufacturers of luminaires with a high protection class for special applications. The medium-sized family business has its headquarters in Buchenau, near the university town of Marburg. As a specialist in the damp room and industrial sectors, the focus is on luminaires that can withstand extreme conditions, including high temperatures and chemical gases.
Over the years, the company has evolved in every respect. PRACHT has not only founded its own research institute, also known as PIT - PRACHT INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY, but also its own plastics technology, which supports the production that takes place directly on site in Plant 2.

history
The lighting sector has been at the heart of the family business since the 1950s. Over the years, the product range has expanded to include high-quality plastic parts, which today are mainly found in PRACHT products and products for electrical engineering. Around 70 years ago, the company developed from an electrical trade business into a lighting manufacturer. PRACHT celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2023.
